Where have the colors gone?
The bright, vivid, and even blinding colors?
I never noticed them leaving.
They slowly drained away,
leaving only the monochrome behind.
They did it so slowly,
I never noticed,
until it was too late.
I was too blind,
preferring my fantasies
to the actualities.
But even my dreams
have lost their brilliant colors.
I have no escape this time.
I don't even know
how to bring color back.
Would they even come back,
for the sake of someone
who never appreciated them,
until it was far too late?
